PROGRAM DESCRIPTION/OUTLINE:
This is a 104-hour HYBRID-accelerated 4 week, (20days), program offered to provide students with opportunities to learn and grow throughout their careers. Medication Technician, as well as our other cohorts, aims to support and encourage students as they pursue their education and professional goals.
You only spend 2 days in class each week; LAB days, Wednesday & Friday. The remainder of the course work is completed online from the convenience of anywhere you need to be. (Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays.)
There are 3 weeks of in-class training with included skills lab trining and 1 week, the last week of class, 36-40 hours onsite clinical rotation at an assisted living facility.
Our Medication Technician course teaches students how to effectively and safely medicate adult residents within the assisted livings, group homes and homecare settings. Students will also learn how to provide some ADL care to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients during medication administration.Â

- Medication Administration with the CORE 5 RIGHTS
- Safety w/ infection control comprehension
- Communication & Documentation w/ customer service awareness
- Ethics & Laws
- Some ADL care &

Not only will students learn the knowledge to operate as a successful Medication Technician, they will also have the confidence to perform the skill and keep ALL residents safe in the process.
At the conclusion of the program, students will receive a certificate of completion in Medication Administration as a Medication Technician.
To take this course, students must submit their admission requirements; a copy of their high school diploma or equivalent, (employers will be expecting to see this), and enrollment application. All students must pay their tuition and fees, and complete the student orientation, which is held on the Monday prior to the start of class.Â
